Last Saturday I managed to get to my friend Andrew’s performance art festival in Stoke Newington, London.

In short, it was brilliant and should happen again – I really enjoyed the interactivity and atmopshere/feelings provoked by a lot of the performances, and their conclusions of awkwardness, heartfelt sincerity¬†and a lot of questioning of personal space and privacy. ¬†Especially liked the work of Kimbal Bumstead who performed his piece ‘Touch Tent’ and Claire Blundell-Jones who was ‘spooning’ or being ‘spooned’ by participants for several hours. Enjoyed a full five minutes of staring into the eyes of a complete stranger and the poems of a good friend R. Makin, who we can also thank for finding an excellent pizza restaurant when it was most needed.
